Role: Junior Analysts

Reports to: Associate Manager/Senior Analyst
Positions Reporting into this Role: - No direct reports
Primary Responsibility Analysts play a key role in UBS Investment Bank's Investment Banking Department. They will be provided with a broad-based entry-level investment banking experience. They can expect to play an active part in the early stages, and during the execution of a variety of transactions supporting the Mergers and Acquisitions team, Healthcare, Technology and Media Sector coverage teams for the Americas, EMEA, APAC.
Key Tasks for this Role From an early stage analysts would be expected to take full responsibility for the following research based deliverables which are critical for the Investment Banking Department’s core revenue generating activities:

Ø2 Share Price Graphs
Ø3 Company Comparables
Ø4 Company Profiles
Ø5 Market Overviews
Ø6 Case Studies
Ø7 Debt Comparables
Ø8 Transaction Precedents etc
People Interactions Ø9 Other Analysts/Senior Analysts
Ø10 Global Investment Bankers, Associates and Analysts
Professional Qualifications and Personality As a minimum we would expect:
Ø11 Good results at A-Level or equivalent
Ø12 A good degree preferably in a field related to business or finance
Ø13 Up to two years relevant experience ideally in an accounting or financial services or research based background
Ø14 Excellent numeric skills
Ø15 Excellent written and spoken English

Knowledge and Experience Profile Ø22 Up to two years relevant experience ideally in an accounting or financial services or research based background

Training New analysts will be provided with 4-5 weeks of training, which will include 2 weeks of technical training covering Accounting, Valuation of Companies and Financial Modeling. Training will also include comprehensive testing and working closely with members of the teams from London and New York.
