SRCC Students Union Scholarship
One merit-cum-need scholarship is awarded to a second year student of B. Com.
(Hons.) / B.A. (Hons.) Economics of Rs.12,000/- per annum.
SRCC Alumni Association Scholarship
A merit-cum-means scholarship of Rs. 500/- per month is awarded to a student
of first year class, to be continued every year during his/her stay in College,
provided he/she secure at least 60% marks in the preceding university examinations.
Sultan Chand Trust Scholarships
The Scholarships of Rs.500/- p.m. are available to topper of B. Com. (Hons.)
first year and second year if they secure 75% marks or more in their previous
university examination in the first attempt.
Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation Scholarship
Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation, Japan awards scholarship of US $ 300 each to 12 undergraduate
students.
Envisions Scholarship
One Scholarship of Rs. 18,000/- per annum to a students of B. Com.(Hons.) III
Year for topping II Year. In case of a tie between students, it will be
given to one who has scored higher aggregate marks in the preceding qualifying
university/board examinations, as the case may be. This scholarship is funded
by the corpus provided by Envisions, a heritage foundation.
M.C. Shukla Scholarships
Two need-cum-merit scholarships of Rs. 6,000/- per annum each are available
for B. Com. (Hons.) II Year students who secured at least 65% marks in the previous
university examinations and have a minimum of 75 % attendance in the previous
year. Parental income of students should not exceed rupees two lacs per
annum. Scholarships are funded from the corpus provided by Prof. M.C.
Shukla’s Birthday Celebration Committee.
T.S. Grewal Memorial Scholarship
One need-cum-merit scholarship of Rs. 6,000/- per annum is awarded to a B.Com.
(Hons.) II Year student who has secured at least 65% marks in the previous University
examinations. Scholarship is funded from the corpus provided by an old
student, Shri S.N.P. Punj.
Kanwar Lal Memorial Scholarship
One need-cum-merit scholarship of Rs. 6,000/- per annum is awarded to a student
of B. Com. (Hons.) II year or B.A. (Hons.) Economics II year who secures 60
% or more in Business Communication or Compulsory Language (English) Credit
Course respectively in the previous year. Scholarship is funded from corpus
provided by an old student of Shri Ram S. Tarneja.
C.B. Gupta Memorial Scholarship
One need-cum-merit scholarship of Rs.1,000/- per month is to be awarded to B.
Com. (Hons.) I Year student with parental income not exceeding Rs.2,00,000/-
per annum. The scholarship is being provided by former Principal Dr. C.B.
Gupta’s daughter Smt. Sarla Mittal.
Prem Handa Memorial Scholarship
One Scholarship of Rs. 12,000/- per annum is awarded to a B.Com. (Hons.) III
Year student on need basis. Scholarship is funded from the corpus provided by
Smt. Harshi Handa in memory of her husband, Shri Prem Handa.
Pt. Kanahya Lal Dayawanti Punj Scholarship
One Scholarship of Rs. 12,000/- per annum is awarded to a B.Com. (Hons.) II
Year student on need basis. Scholarship is funded from the corpus provided by
Pt.Kanahya Lal Dayawanti Punj Charitable Society.
Manoj Kumar Memorial Scholarship
One need-cum-merit scholarship of Rs. 6,000 per annum be awarded to a student
of B.Com(H) III year. Merit to be determined by qualifying marks of 60%
in the subjects Microeconomics I and II in the University examinations.
Need Based Scholarship
One need-cum-merit scholarship of Rs. 6,000 per annum is awarded to an economically
needy student. Fund provided by collection made from students of the college.
Scholarships for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Students
These scholarships awarded by the Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi,
to bonafide Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Students belonging to Delhi, on
receipt of completed applications submitted through the college. Application
Forms can be obtained from the College Office. The last date for submission
of applications to the Directorate of Education is August 31, every year.
Certificate of caste and of parents’ income, duly attested by a competent authority,
must accompany the Application Form.
All India Entrance Scholarships
The University holds a competitive examination in the month of October each
year for the award of 50 All India Entrance Scholarship of Rs.250/- per month,
tenable for three years, for pursuing a course of study for an Honours Degree
in this University.
The last date for receipt of application is September 1 every year. Details
may be obtained from the College Office or from Room No. 61 Examination Branch
VII (I) (Main University Campus) on any working day between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30
p.m.
Students Aid Fund and Fee Concession
The objective of the students Aids Fund is to render financial assistance to
needy students towards their tuition fees, cost of text books, hostel/mess expenses,
clothing and medical expenses. Forms are available from the College
Office, in the first week of August.

RAMJAS COLLEGE
The College provides financial assistance to poor and needy students in the
form of fee concession and aid. Grants are given from Students' Aid Fund for
books, stationery, bus fare, clothing, educational equipment, mess charges,
and emergencies. Its continuance depends on students' satisfactory academic
performance, regular attendance and good conduct.
A number of scholarships are awarded by the University, the Ministry of Education,
the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Directorate of Education and other
bodies. The procedure of applying for these scholarships will be notified on
the notice board of the College from time to time. Corporation Bank also offers
personal/educational loans which may be negotiated directly with the Bank.
Needy students who generally deserve financial help may approach the Principal,
who receives offers from various Charitable Trusts and other organizations for
supporting the marginalized section of the society.
Scholarships and Exhibitions
The University awards a limited number of scholarships and exhibitions to MSc
students. Applications for these on the prescribed form (available from the
University), duly recommended by the Principal, should reach University by the
dates prescribed by the University in this regard.
The College encourages students to apply for scholarships and other means of
financial aid by recommending each individual's application to various charities,
trusts, NGOs and institutions that support under-graduate and post-graduate
studies. All such applications are screened, examined and recommended by the
Principal of the College.
SRI VENKATESHWRA COLLEGE
Eligibility Criteria for Students studying in the College
1. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/OBC/Minorities Students
should have obtained 60% or more marks in Senior Secondary Examinations/Previous
Classes.
2. Scholarships are available to students pursuing any Degree/Diploma
Course/Post-Graduate Studies or any Professional/Technical Courses in the College.
3. Students should have Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/OBC
Certificate as the case may be, issued by the Competent Revenue Authority of
Delhi.
4. Students belonging to OBC/Minority should not be in receipt
of any other scholarship during the relevant period.
5. Family Income is not applicable in the case of Scheduled
Case/Scheduled Tribe Students. But Family Income ceiling in respect of
the parents in case of OBC/Minorities students is Rupees 1,00,000/- (Rupees
One Lakh) and the Income Proof in the form of a self declaration.
6. Consolidated list of eligible students signed by the Principal
of the college alongwith applications and other requisite documents should be
submitted to the Deputy Director ( Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/OBC/Minorities),
Scholarship Branch, Government of NCT of Delhi, Second Floor, “B” Block, Vikas
Bhawan, IP Estate, New Delhi-110 002 before 31st October, 2007. Incomplete/Individual
applications of students received after the prescribed date will not be considered.
7. No proposal will be accepted which is not accompanied with
the Electronic Clearing Service (E.C.S.) details i.e. E.C.S. Number/E.C.S.Proforma/Cancelled
Cheque of the Principal/Head of the College/authorized person.
8. The rate of Scholarship will be reduced to 50% if a student
fails in the annual examination but continues studies except in cases where
the student fails to appear in the annual examination on medical grounds or
due to natural calamities or any other reason beyond his/her control.
9. Intentional non appearance in the annual examination will
disqualify the student from the grant of scholarship during the next academic
year.
