Got a problem unearthing facts? Do you want to have a look into your answer sheets after revaluation? Or, are you seeking information on your mark sheet?

Whatever it is… the Delhi University (DU) students now can receive an answer to every query they make through the Right to Information (RTI) Act which strengthens them against any issue lying under the carpet. What’s even more is the information is just a phone call away!

Launched last month by the Youth Task Force (YTF) for the DU students, any query about the Act and its use is now accessible just a call away.

"The RTI Act is a popular tool in the hands of students who can now actually seek information on mark sheets, examination and the moderation system of the colleges. However, it must be kept in mind that the key to know the facts lies in asking right questions," Saurav Sharma, convenor of YTF said.

According to the RTI Act which was passed in 2005, it is necessary for any government agency or any government funded- institution to provide timely response to anyone seeking information.

Students at DU have been frequent users of the same and get information, which the administration does not provide.

Through the helpline, the YTF aims to make the process of filling in the RTI query simpler.

The helpline proposes to help students providing the names of the concerned Public Information Officers (PIOs) in various DU colleges as well as prepare them to draft a query.

"Over the last two and a half years, the YTF has done a lot of RTI work in the university. We know what kind of question will fetch students the right answers as we are in constant touch with the PIOs. We are the best to help students," Sharma added.

Currently, the DU students can assess only one helpline number : 9990112334
