Delhi University has decided to remove Dean of its Faculty of Law S N Singh from his post for certain administrative lapses allegedly on his part.
The Executive Council (EC) of the university took a decision in this regard during its meeting last evening after considering the report from an inquiry committee.
Mr. Singh has been stripped off all administrative duties in all the three units of Law Faculty -- Campus Law Centre and Law Centre I and II, an EC member told PTI.
The member said the varsity had formed an inquiry committee after a number of complaints against Mr. Singh were received from students and staff members.
The complaints were ranging from misbehaviour with the staff members, violation of university's admission guidelines and violation of procedure related to research programmes.
"After the inquiry committee report and recommendations were tabled before the EC, it decided to debar Singh from all administrative duties. However, he will continue as a teacher in the department," the member said. |
