A major admission fraud came to light after a student alleged that he has paid Rs two lakh to four agents for admission into the prestigious Kirori Mal College under Delhi University.
The student, who secured 67 per cent marks in Class XII, had little chance of getting admission into this college under the normal procedure.
The matter came to light today when the boy had gone to attend Bcom class but did not find his name in the attendance register.
The cut-off for Bcom (pass) is 92 per cent this year.
"The boy came in contact with four agents including a girl who promised him admission if he pays Rs two lakh. He paid the amount and was handed over a fake receipt in lieu of admission," college principal Prof Bhimsen Singh said. |
