Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination with pass in 4 subjects (English, Mathematics and 2 Elective Subjects) or an equivalent examination with 55% or more marks in aggregate of these 4 subjects. Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST and special categories mentioned in Bulletin of information
The Entrance Test: Syllabus for the Combined Admission Test will be as follows:

Admission test will be of 2 hours duration. There is negative marking for every incorrect answer. One - fourth marks deducted for an incorrect answer.
NOTE:
As against 5,500 applications submitted in 2007 for a total of 400 seats, the University had received about 7,000 applications for 450 seats in 2008. The number of seats has been increased in the wake of the quota for students from the Other Backward Classes. THIS YEAR THE SEATS HAVE BEEN INCREASED TO 500. But keep in mind that the competition is really tough.
