Here's all you want to know about the bike
Appearance
This beast is the best looking sports bike in the segment. It comes with complete fairing with large plastic and steel parts. Kawasaki Ninja 250R possesses dual-lamp headlamp that looks aggressive like a spiderman. The rear view mirrors are raised on the mask. Between the mirrors, there is black tinted windscreen that offers protection for the rider. Front turn indicators, however, are in the conventional style that also come out of the fairing. The mask fairing goes down at fuel tank and engine. Only the bike monogram is pasted over the petrol tank and airscoops. Six spoke black alloy wheels are look stunning with racing strips at rim.
The dashboard disappoints a bit as it comes in analouge format. Speedometer, odometer, trip meter and tachometer are in analouge mode. Now-a-days all the bikes above 150cc are necessarily having digital dashboard. The instrument panel of Kawasaki Ninja 250R is showing fuel availability and some warning lights such as low oil, low fuel, choked air filter, high oil temperature and low battery indicators. Under the rear seat, there are two helmet holders. The tail side is also have sporty looks. The tail protection cover is slim and sharp. Step-up seat is another attracting feature of the bike.
Engine
The powertrain of the sports bike is awesome. Kawasaki Ninja 250R is powered by DHOC four stroke engine with a displacement of 249cc. This is supported by parallel twin-cylinders. The engine churns a maximum power of 31bhp at 10500 rpm and develops maximum torque of 22NM at 9500 rpm. The engine is liquid cool that automatically cools the engine. This time the female is provided with thick piston rings that is meant for minimizing oil consumption. Apart from this, the design of the combustion chamber optimized to maximize combustion efficiency and reduce emissions. Kawasaki Ninja incorporates 6 speed transmission that is found in a few bike in India. It also give a chance to bikers for styling and racing. Exhaust system is also refreshed in the new version that is to be seen on Indian roads very soon. The silencer is fully tested for pleasing sound and help to balance the power.
Acceleration
As per the figures available with us, Kawasaki Ninja 250R clears 0-100 km/h in just 5.75 seconds. The top speed is 176 km/h.
Fuel Efficiency
As far as the fuel efficiency is concerned, it gives 21-30 kmpl mileage. Kawasaki Ninja 250R fuel tank capacity is 18 litre. Good enough for driving on highways. The weight of the bike, large wheelbase and high displacement of the bike certainly effect the mileage at large. However, best mileage can be achieved through timely maintenance.
Brakes
Sophisticated and effective brakes are essential for the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 250R. The machine houses widest 290mm front petal disc brake with two-piston caliper that promises instant barking. The same two-piston caliper is used in 220mm rear disc brake. These petal disc brakes not only seem eye catching but also ensure superb halting.
Suspension
Kawasaki Ninja 250R is equipped with largest front and rear forks. The largest forks are helpful in better handling of the bike and butter-smooth ride. Front suspension's diameter is 37mm while rear one is Uni-Trak with 5 time adjustable for different preloads. You can adjust the rear forks for single rider and with pillion rider.
Wheels and Tyres
Kawasaki Ninja 250R contains large wheels and tyres as required for a super sports bike. The specifications of front and rear tyres are 110/70-17 and 130/70-17 respectively. Alloy black wheels are desirable in the sports bikes.
Wheel Base and Controlling
Kawasaki Ninja 250R has got widest tyres and wheelbase as well. The wheelbase is 1322mm. This lightweight bike in the 250cc segment is designed to give utmost comfort and control. The engineers of the company leave no stone unturned in ensuring safety aspect.
Comfortness
Kawasaki Ninja 250R comes with refine features. As far as the comfort is concerned, the riding position is natural. The rider has to stretch his arms to grip the handle, however, that is raised a bit. Rider's seat is wide and much comfortable. For the sake of sports look, pillion seat is separated from the rider. Passenger footrest is fitted for the pillion rider. But passenger backrest was required. For the travel on highways and bad weather conditions, the bike is equipped with big front protection and large windscreen.

Considering the traffic conditions and the way we have errant road users cropping up in zombie mode on our roads, the Ninja 250's ability to handle and yet maintain a very quick pace makes it one of the best handling two-wheelers money can buy in the land. Rock solid through the corners and with a headstock which can take the weight of a locomotive as you hit the anchors and then turn-in, it will surprise everyone, across skill levels, as being the bike they would want to ride every day. The first batch of the baby Ninjas are now ready for the picking all across the country but I can foresee that the second and third and.... batches might already be on the high seas. ProBiking outlets sure seem destined to be the most frequented biking spots, we reckon. Roll on Ninja babe! |
